Outstanding video. I can remember those images as if it were yesterday (Just in black & white as we didn't have a color TV at the time). Some of the words of President Kennedy were very powerfull for me, such as the quote about going to the moon and back within the decade, and the quote of not asking what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.... Seems kind of lost on todays leadership, breaks my heart.
I remember hearing the news while I was at a swimming party in California. For me, the tragedy cemented in me the drive to vote in every election I can. (Sometimes circumstances make it difficult, though).
I became 21 years old and was eligible to vote for the President of the United States just in time to vote for John Fitzgerald Kennedy.
I was driving home to Brownwood from Odessa when I heard the awful news. It hurt me so badly that I have never again voted for an American president. You can bet your bottom dollar I will be voting this November for congressional seats and in 2012 for the next Presidental election.
Thank you, Johnny , for this powerful presentation.
Amen.
