Day For Decision

This video was made for the recording Day For Decision. The recording has stayed with me ever since I was a small child and I first heard it shortly after it's release. I hope I have done justice to the feelings Johnny felt when he recorded this.

I bought this album in 66 or early 67. I joined the Air Force in 1967 and still have the album to this day. It says a lot about the state of our country now and back then.

I was a member of a youth group of singers made up of members of the American Legion back in the 60's and 70's. I had the honor of doing this presentation at the end of our program I knew the words with out a cheat sheet. and was proud to do it. I served as National Commander for the Sons of the American Legion an have often made reference to some of his songs

I just realized the upload date on this video... Fitting that it should be on the U S Marine Corps birthday.

Urah!

I never had the 45, but the album, which I still hold dear. I recived this album when I was a kid and so much of it has stuck with me throughout my life. It breaks my heart to see the way our great nation has gone, hopefully myself and fellow patriots can find a way to get things back on track.

When I first heard this song in 1966 I was blown away I could not believe how Johnny had hit the nail on the head. 45 years later and no truer words were ever spoken. I have shared your site with a bunch of Vets and told them all to listen to this and how true it is. I do believe I still have the orginal 45 which I always thought I would wear it out from playing it so much.
