This the year 2000. I helped along with all those pictured rebuild the 1744. Not long after this test run, I was one of the men who took her to New Oleans where I remained for three months and ran her there.

How old is this photo? I'm trying to find current informaiton on SP 1744. She is a special locomotive to me. My husband & I watched her come back to life in 200 at the 8th Ave Fort Worth Yard, saw her running in Lousiana and then visited her in the yard in Colorado in 2007. I'm trying to find out if she is still in service or not.
