About Me

Hi Johnny.

I was at Barksdale AFB in 1959 & me & 2 friends of mine would go to hayride to see you. We got to know you & the 2 other men in your band. We went back stage to talk to ya'll every time you played. You probability don't remember us, back then they called me the New Jersey Cowboy, cause I wore western shirt & hat. My favorite song is loneliness on Everybody's Favorite: Mr. Johnny Sea.

  Thanks for the music

  Ken

About Me

I am 63 years old and live in an old Fire Station in Madison, Wi    I was a fireman for 31 years on the Madison Fire Dept. and have been retired for 11 years.  My son has been on the dept. for 15 years.  I have lived in the station for 21 years having purchased it from the city after we moved to the new station.  I have an old Milwaukee braves display and a Johnny Cash display room.  I have an old country & western band called:  Mikey Fuss & the Cherokee three, patterned after Johnny Cash & the Tennesse three. I am also part Cherokee.   I sing so many of Johnny Cash''s songs and love doing them.  I also play steel guitar & harmonica.  We play old songs all the way back to Gene Autry & Roy Rodgers.  I love Johnny Seays singing style.  He has the young Johnny Cash sound  &  voice emphesis from 1958 thru 1971.  He mastered that.  That's what I try to do also.  I've never heard anyone elso do that as close as Johnny Seay, and I've heard alot of the so called impersonators.  I don't impersonate him, just try to do the songs like he did and enjoy doing them.   I love Johnny Seays song,  My time to cry.  It is a great sounding song by him.  Also Frankies man Johnny.   I am so happy I found this site.  It sure is great that Fawn is doing this.  Keep up the great work.  I also love trains.  I did a 30th aniversary CD of the Wisconsin & Southern Railroad, which is our local railroad, formerly the Chicago & Northwestern railroad, last year.  There are 8 Johnny Cash railroad songs, plus Roger Millers, King of the Road, theme song for Petticoat Junction ,the TV series, and two songs I wrote for the railroads aniversary.  That's pretty neat that Johnny worked on the railroad & loves planes and to fly also.  You have a great site here Johnny & Fawn and maybe someday we can meet.  I am happy to be a new member.  I also have a website:  It is, zip-country.com    click on: country bands, then on traditional country, then on Cherokee.  Thanks,  Mikey

About Me

Was this age when I met Johnny on the beach in Biloxi, MS in about 1959.  Was in the USAF at the time.  Johnny approached me, seemed like a really nice guy.  And was shocked when I heard him sing and play the guitar, is this Johnny Cash?

He invited us to his grandmothers' home in Gulfport, MS, what a wonderful cook she was, and practically all the food served was from her gardent.  Forgot all about Johnny until meeting up with some old USAF buddies.  Am a daddy with a guardian of two children, adopted two child, had four the hard way, and two more step children.  Also a grandfather with eleven grandkids.  And have a beautiful wife, a guy can't ask for more than that.  Good chatting with Johnny again.
